Bikes and Playgrounds

We rented some bikes one day to tour a little bit of the local countryside (when it was not raining).  One of the bikes we got was electric.  I had such a blast keeping up with Jake (and sometimes passing him) on the hills.

 Destination: the Bakery
 Oh heaven!
I loved looking at all the Austrian houses

When we got back we found the kids here at this awesome playground.  I don't know if you can see his face but it is pure fear and joy.  This swing was huge and so high.  It was like jumping off a high dive and I was legitimately scared and gave a good scream when I finally jumped.  I've never done anything like it...super fun!!

This swing is brilliant.  It is all connected to that ladder thing on top and so when one kid swings, it swings the other side.  Each of the kids had to take their turn swinging Lily.

Jake wanted to capture this hill, it was super steep, but it doesn't do it justice.
Drying his hair :)
Jake went on a bike tour for the afternoon one day and the rest of us went to try out the toboggan run on the other side of the lake.  We didn't tell the kids we were going and it was a fun surprise.  They were absolutely giddy.  We got a 10 ride pass, so the each got to go three times.  Not only was the ride fast and fun, but the view was incredible too.  The kids also liked passing by the stray cow as we headed up the hill, backwards.  This was definitely a big highlight of their trip.

No word from Jake so we drove past this playground.  We honestly hit the jackpot when it comes to playgrounds.  All my life, I've never seen anything like it.
 They loved it!
Heaven for this boy.  Gave me my inspiration for his Christmas gift (he's already run through 12 batteries!)

 A mine!

Never heard much from this girl. She was a happy camper in the sand.
We spent hours here and could have spent hours more.  There was a whole downstairs level that we never even made it to.  Princeton could really us a place like this.

Pictures from Jake's ride...some stunning scenery!
