Dancing and Crawling

I got to see Rachel in her dance class this week. So fun!

And Tommy is learning lots...how to crawl...and read :)I love my kids!

Jake is headed to India for school so me and the kids are escaping to Utah for a couple weeks. For the next 10 hours I'll be traveling with these kids alone. Pray for me! Can't wait to see you all!

Pot of Gold

Rachel came to me this afternoon with gold hands. She had found the glitter and decided to make her whole room sparkle. I think we are done with "quiet time" (I'm not sure how I am going to manage without that nice break during the day), but this is what happens:Stickers that don't come offmarker...also doesn't come off
and a lot of days you can't even see the floor with all the toys and clothes and stuff.

We did however see some sunshine after a good 5 days straight of cold rain. I went on a walk around our neighborhood, which I haven't been able to do in years...literally. Rachel actually walked and then sat in the stroller as we admired all the "popcorn" on the trees and picked clovers.
And here is our "green" dinner- green eggs and ham, salad, kiwi, limeade and jello jigglers, which didn't turn out again. In my five years of marriage and trying to do these, they've never turned out. I know it's probably one of the easiest things you could make. I don't understand either.

What's new?

Rachel, Rachie Rach, the good ol' Rach, Rachie Roo:
Why? Why? Why? Why?...and "Why do you think?" doesn't typically work. I can't believe how mentally exhausted I am at the end of the day. She sure is cute though.Tommy, Tom Tom, Toma Obama, Tommy Obomy, Tomsta, T-Dog, Squirmy Wormy, Buster:
There's something new everyday with this kid. I saw him do an actual crawl today on hands and knees, but it's still in it's beginning stages. I put him in the kitchen this afternoon as I went to deal with an issue Rachel was having and I hear a big crash. I come running to find Tommy in the family room next to a broken lamp...and it begins! He has also learned to point and waves on vocal command of "bye bye." If you bark at him, he'll grunt back. He loves putting things on his head. Today, I enjoyed it being the yogurt cup as a hat. He could spend all day playing peek-a-boo with you. On the changing table he always puts his pants over his eyes and kicks his legs frantically with excitement.
Jake:
In the middle of finals right now. This MBA program doesn't look too bad huh? Taking an exam on the comfort of your own couch. Well, he'll be soon "halfway through" after these, just one year left! Wahoo...I guess.
We also should be finding out soon what is going to be happening with his group at work. We're still confident, but who knows??
Me:
Keeping up with these kids, cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping. Do I have time for anything else? I don't have enough time for any of that. Well, I also teach the craziest bunch of 4 year olds at church...7 of them. And I'm also doing a little dance teaching right now too. I'm teaching Rachel and the other 2 "Sunbeam" girls a dance for the Primary Talent Show and doing a little mini-class for them each Friday. Life is crazy, but life is good.

March Madness

Tommy's getting into it...

Another Snow Day

That's 3 for Charlotte this year!! A record! (Well, at least since we've been here) Notice the blue skies and clear roads. I love it. And even though it was 23 degrees this morning when we took Jake to the train, it's supposed to be near 70 by Friday. I just don't know if I could live anywhere else. I feel like Charlotte has perfect weather. (Of course I probably won't be saying that when August rolls around again.

Mini Bowling

Everyone's heard of miniature golf...but miniature bowling? It was just the cutest thing. I love how different Andrew and Rachel's style's are.
