It's Christmas time in the City

It had been a few years since we enjoyed New York City at Christmas time and we were really interested in trying out one of the Christmas markets this year.  Knowing very well how crowds can be on the weekends I decided to pull the kids out of school.  It was a perfect day to do it, the temperature was fantastic.  We took the train in and Lily was very excited...after all the times wanting to join Daddy as we drop him off at the station to head to work.

The train brings us right where we want to start.  Macy's

We loved the Charlie brown displays this year

 Santaland

 Bryant park

 Rockefeller

Lily felt moved to dance by the tree.  I love her!

My favorite thing about the day was that it wasn't rushed.  As we were walking past St. Patricks Rachel asked if we could go in.  Of course!

Christmas market in Union Square.  Just walking in and taking in all the smells and surroundings...made the trip worth it!  We ate LOTS of delicious food and treats.  It reminded us of Europe and made us so happy.

 A very successful day!
