Life as of Late

Spent a day in Philly with some friends

Rachel's winter piano recital

She started off a little rocky, but I was proud of her for pulling through and she finished fabulously.  Her teacher almost took out the second song because she was having a rough time with it at her lesson...but I fought for it, and I'm glad I did.  She has improved a lot this year and I'm really proud of her.  She has a real love for it.

Lily is now eating solids

It has been fun to watch the kids' enthusiasm over this milestone.  They each wanted to take their turns and Tommy gave her a medal.  Kate still insists on feeding her every time.

She has grown up a lot in the last couple of weeks...she's more interested in toys, babbling a lot, and now loves to splash in the tub!

Camera fun...sisters!

Daddy daughter dance.  They had a great time!  The only thing is that dinner and dancing don't mix with Rachel...not sure how to solve that little problem.

6 month check up.  I never take note of the stats.  I feel a little guilty about that, but she's healthy.

This kid's love for her...one day I told him to give Lily a kiss before she went down for a nap.  Ten minutes later he was crying and having a bit of a fit because he couldn't kiss her again.  Last night as he was doing dishes he kept saying, "I can't not look at her, she's too cute!"

We have had a couple days of spring like weather...hallelujah!!!  Kate has now fallen and scraped her knees twice.

Fun with homemade silly putty...yes, I was proud of myself.  I was a cool mom for a day...maybe an afternoon :)

Lily is doing really well with sitting up.  The kids think it is the funniest thing when she falls over.

Pajama day at school.  Tommy was trying to trick Daddy with "not getting ready for school".  Jake knew it was pajama day and Tommy knew that he knew it, but he was playing along anyways and Tommy thought it was hilarious!

A beautiful weekend!!  Lots of snow melted and we found a glove and a hat, the kids ate lunch out back and played outside all afternoon.  Amazing how good it feels to feel the sun after months of winter.  It is so rejuvenating to see the first signs of spring, I wondered when it was going to come.

LOVE this cute girl!

Another checkup?  Despite our crazy freezing winter we've actually had a really healthy one...knock on wood!!

Rach really is amazing at the piano. She definitely has a career in that! Can't believe that Lily is eating solid foods. That first year is so fast. And you are always a cool mom!

Way to go Rachel! And way to go Melanie and Jake for putting her in piano and sticking with it. Her playing made me smile :)

I love how much the kids love Lily. Tommy is a good Brother. And you always do fun stuff with your kids so you are always a cool mom. I need that recipe for silly putty. I tried a recipe for playdoh the other day and it was the worst. And yay for spring. So lucky you have had a good winter. Avery and I have been sick way to much! Love you all.

Miss Kate is so posh in those shades. I love how Jake always jokes around with the kids and they just bust up laughing. Your kids have the best sense of humor!
