The secret is out...the best Belgian waffles are at the Stokkel market. The difference is in the fresh dough.

I think this was call Horst castle. A little bit of a disappointment, but we made the most of it
This passageway to the top was creepy and fun
Pop was uninvited in our family picture
Leuven is such a fun and vibrant town, even when it's raining.
Herway favorite restaurant. I believe they are on a first name basis and they don't even have to ask what they want to order..."the usual"
Jake wanted us to take note of the architecture that makes this restaurant unique
I probably already posted a picture of the view we had from our apartment. But I couldn't get enough.
We had a party one night watching the Belgium Red Devils play Hungary in the Euro 2016. What an exciting game to watch. We ate WAY too much junk.Lily can't be left out
Our excursion to the "ramps" behind Jake's house required a lot of effort. We borrowed a friend's van and some of her bikes. It ended up being quite wet. Tommy was really anxious and had a rough time (the somewhat dysfunctional bike he had didn't help), but only because he wanted to do it so bad. As I was encouraging him to take a break, he was working through his tears to overcome it. In the end I thought it was a terrible experience for him, but he talks about it a lot...and how he wants to do it again.
An evening walk
These boys, doing their boy thing
A day at Tervuren park
Kinder egg toys provided tons of entertainment
Tommy making friends at the playground
One of my favorite candid shots. A little break on one of our many walks downtown.
The Grand Place never gets old. It is always just as Grand as the first time you see it.
One of our favorite places to picnic. L'hulpe has become a tradition for our family, which includes lots of chocolate, and a football or a frisbee. We spend hours here!
Morning bakery run, rain or shine
