What do you think...any resemblance?

I'm not sure if you can see it, but I sometimes feel like I have my baby Rachel again. It's amazing to us how similar they are...just a little less hair and a little less crying :)

The Big Sister

I've been so impressed with Rachel taking on the role of big sister. She loves to share her toys and blankie with him. When he cries, she goes running to him, "it's okay Tommy!" She's good at giving him his binki and singing him songs. And my favorite, she never forgets to give Tommy a kiss goodnight after we say our prayers, even if he's in the other room sleeping.

I'm sure there will be jealous times ahead...the real test is tomorrow. Grandma has gone home and Jake goes back to work. Wish me luck!!

Introducing Thomas Alexander Herway!

Thomas Alexander Herway has arrived!!! He was born Sunday, April 27 at 8:07am. 7 pounds 8 ounces, 19 inches long (all around smaller than Rachel was). He received a perfect ten Apgar score and has been such a good baby. He hardly cries and eats really well. He is already such a joy. We came home from the hospital today and Rachel was so excited to see baby Tommy. She's already been a really helpful older sister. We think the two of them have a lot of similar features. We're excited for this new adventure with "kidS."

Just hangin around...

It sure would be a good time for our little guy to come. The house is clean, lawn is mowed, laundry is done, shopping is done, bags are packed. That leaves us with only one thing left to do...wait! URGGGHHH!

Rachel's breaking in the bassinet :)

Our Anniversary...

was yesterday. Yes, busy week. We went to the Ovens Theatre last night to enter a raffle to get $25 orchestra level tickets to see Wicked. It was a lot of fun as we waited in suspense and hope for them to call our name. We weren't chosen but we stuck around for a bit and ended up getting some cancellation tickets for the orchestra level (unfortunately not as good of a deal but still a decent price, according to Jake). So we are going to see Wicked...tonight!! I'm so excited. True, I have already seen it twice, but it's just that good. And these should be the best seats yet!
I sure love my husband...it's been the most wonderful 4 years. I could go on forever about what I love about him and how much he means to me, but I'll save all that for him :)

Happy Birthday Jake!

On Wednesday Jake turned 26. His "best man" came down from DC to surprise him. We celebrated by going to the Zuma Family Fun Center. They hit some baseballs, we played miniture golf and some arcades. Rachel was the best caddy ever...maybe too good. We had a lot of fun!
